Why Choose 9-point temperature mapping?

21. February 2025

Gram BioLine introduce 9-point, 24-hour temperature mapping. This new mapping option allows you to validate your unit yourself or use it as a quality reference, eliminating the need for additional testing upon delivery.

Factory acceptance tests (FAT) are intrinsic to our belief in delivering on our promises, we do what we say

We have always conducted single point 24-hours temperature mapping of all Gram BioLine refrigerators and freezers in junction with our factory acceptance test. Mapping data we subsequently supply free of charge.
We are pleased to introduce our 9-point, 24-hour temperature mapping for Gram BioLine refrigerators and freezers. This new mapping option allows you to validate your unit yourself or use it as a quality reference, eliminating the need for additional testing upon delivery.

WHAT IS FACTORY ACCEPTANCE Test (FAT)?

  • Uniform quality: All products undergo FAT, ensuring performance and electrical specifications are tested.
  • No compromise: No units leave our factory prior to having passed our FAT, meaning that any deviations that might occur are addressed at the factory and not when the costumer receive their product.
  • Full transparency: Detailed documentation ensures traceability and accountability.

Key benefits:
✔ Predictable performance – no surprises when receiving your product.
✔ Easier troubleshooting and strong aftersales support.
✔ Compliance with specific customer requirements.
✔ Data collection for continuous optimisation.

What is the 9-Point Test?
While our standard FAT includes a 24-hour test using a single external temperature sensor at the geometric centre of the cabinet (1-point test), the 9-point test adds eight additional sensors. These sensors are placed at the top and bottom corners, adhering to the EN/IEC 60068-3-5 standard. This method provides a comprehensive temperature profile throughout the cabinet.

Sensor Placement
During the 9-point test, sensors are positioned at:

  • Four points in the top corners: left/right and front/back.
  • Four points in the bottom corners: left/right and front/back.

One at the geometric centre of the cabinet.
Each sensor is placed either one-tenth of the distance (L/10) from the inner walls or a minimum of 50mm, ensuring precise measurements in line with the standard.

Why Choose 9-point temperature mapping?

By opting for the 9-point test, you gain:

  •  Documentation for regulatory compliance and internal validation.
  •  Assurance of consistent performance throughout the cabinet.
  • 9-point product test to validate up against.
  • If conditions permit, use as a year-1 validation.

Comprehensive 9-point, 24-hour temperature mapping test compliant with EN/IEC 60068-3-5.
